BAPTISTS BELIEFS

We do not claim to be the only Christians. You certainly do not have to be a Baptist to get to heaven! But we do believe there are important gospel truths for which we Baptists stand.
They are:

+ The rule of Jesus Christ in the lives of individual believers.
+ The Church Fellowship as the gathered company of believers.
+ Churches associating together in common worship, work and witness.
+ Believers' baptism by immersion in water in obedience to Christ's command
+ The authority of the Bible in church and personal conduct and guidance.
+ The significance of the local church meeting for reporting and planning.
+ The priesthood of all believers in caring for and counselling others.
+ The missionary task, locally and globally.
+ Religious freedom of life style, worship and expression of beliefs.

All of this is really a way of being the Church of Jesus, of being a Christian.
